Kastamonu Airport is an airport located in the city of Kastamonu Province of Turkey. The airport is closed to air traffic at the moment. It is the closest airport to the Ilgaz Mountain Ski Center and Ilgaz Peak.
Plans to open it for service are under way. Preliminary research shows that IST-KFS route has a big potential for profitable operation with small to medium size planes, given that over 1 million people from Kastamonu live in Istanbul metropolitan area.
