Officially named “Antalya Airport”, one of the busiest airports of the Mediterranean Region in Turkey, was opened to international traffic in 1998.
Antalya continues to be a popular holiday destination and Antalya International Airport is the most important tourist gateway for the Turkish Riviera with nearly 15 million passengers recorded for 2006.
About 11 kilometers outside the city center, a variety of transportation options are available including Havas Airport Shuttle, city buses, taxis and rental cars. About 725 kilometers south of Istanbul with several direct flights from London, Antalya is a vacationers’ paradise with both modern resorts and ancient ruins.
